The first thing I remeber my whole family saying when we got to the Waimea Canyon lookout point is, "WOW." The view, nicknamed Grand Canyon of the Paicifc just blows, the human mind to think that this was formed on an island so many years ago and from the erosion of the Earth. I just couldn't stop taking photos of the marvelous site. It was a short car drive up the canyon to the 3,500 foot elevation of the lookout spot where not too many people were gathered. It could have been said that there were more chickens up there than people. Sometimes I would try to put a song to the view. Like if it was shown in a movie. But that just wasn't possible. Its the feeling of being there, feeling the cooler air and breeze rush around you as you take in the breath taking view. Looking at this photo now, after we are back home, I can't put words to the feeling that I had while looking over the edge as the steep plunge that was somehow just unbeliveable.
